VoIP service companies. Analysis of the best VoIP rates in Spain.
Megacall
Megacall offers highly engaging VoIP services for the digital and technological future to which companies are almost forced to adapt. The first thing we highlight about Megacall is that it has its own CRM, something that not all offer, and also integrations with other systems such as Zoho and Hubspot. It has numbers from more than 100 different countries, including international numbers that make it easier for businesses to reach other parts of the world. With its mobile app you can make and receive calls from your computer, tablet or mobile phone wherever you are, with a simple and easy-to-use interface. This means having a lot of flexibility and being able to take your office anywhere, being in contact at all times with good call quality and without losing customer calls or sales.
The heart of Megacall is its virtual switchboard, where you can see a lot of functions for managing calls. Call recording and transcription, voicemail, call analytics, more advanced features such as queues to keep the customer on the line and not miss the call, call routing and forwarding, interactive voice response where you can create welcome menus that can be adapted to different situations, whether by language or by different characteristics, with the option to establish business hours, vacation hours, out of office hours…
Another interesting feature is the supervisor function, which is a very useful tool for small businesses or call centers, as it allows you to monitor new employees and teach them how to provide quality service, where the supervisor can join the agents’ calls to listen to them, offer help without the customer hearing it, or intervene in the call if necessary. And finally, we cannot forget to mention their customer support, another aspect that not all companies have, Megacall has a personalized configuration service carried out by its operators, ensuring that everything is to the user’s liking.
Now, let’s talk about prices. What are the rates at Megacall? How much does it cost to have their virtual switchboard? With the free version of the virtual switchboard, you simply pay for a phone number from 2€ per month and once your number is connected you will have access to all the functions of their switchboard and CRM. This free version includes 5 users, yes, that right, 5 users with 200 Mb of cloud space, 4 voice menus and 100 minutes of calls in 5 countries. With Megacall you don’t pay for just one user, but each plan includes a number of users and you pay the same price using 1 as you do using 5. For more space, more minutes, and more features, Megacall offers different plans that can be adapted to what you are looking for;
- Lite Plan for 20€ per month with annual subscription and with 5 users, you will have up to 1000 minutes of calls in 35 countries, including a phone number, more cloud space (up to 2000 Mb), 6 voice menus and free incoming calls.
- Office Plan for 35€ per month with 10 users, you will reach up to 2000 minutes of call in 35 countries, including 2 phone numbers, free incoming calls, 10 voice menus, 500 minutes of voice recognition and 4000 Mb of cloud space.
- Enterprise plan for 70€ per month with 50 users, you will have 4000 minutes in 35 countries, 5 phone numbers, free incoming calls, 15 voice menus, 1000 minutes of voice recognition and 8000 Mb of cloud storage.
All plans include free portability and CRM.
Aircall
We find another platform that offers the same functions that we can see in any VoIP telephony provider or in a virtual switchboard; call recordings, interactive voice response, queue system, call forwarding and routing to the right agent… It also has a mobile app very similar to the desktop one. But, there is something different about Aircall that stands out, it is the possibility of labeling and classifying conversations once the calls have ended, since it will allow you track and analyze them more easily. It is a fairly complete platform, but despite having all these functions, it fails in one of the most important and main aspects of this type of service, and many agree that the connectivity and quality of Aircall calls is not all that good, since on many occasions you can find yourself in a situation of interrupted calls or dropped calls, which makes it difficult to have a fluid conversation with the client, to be able to obtain truthful information or it can even affect the call analytics. In addition, Aircall’s customer support is not entirely immediate, there is no quick response and that makes it difficult for a customer looking for answers at the moment.
As far as we know, Aircall does not offer a free trial of its platform, so if you want to try its services you will have to try its services you will have to hire one of its plans. Aircall has 3 different price packs, the most economical being the Essential plan for 30€ per month per license, with a minimum of 3 users, this includes unlimited incoming calls, basic telephony functions such as IVR, call recording and click to call, voicemail… but, this plan does not include quite interesting tools such as call routing, advanced analytics, call queue, the label function in this pack either, but you can find it in other plans but with a higher price, from about 50€ per month onwards. We also mention that to know the prices of the VoIP rates it is necessary to contact the company.
Ringover
Another platform with which you can perform the vast majority of VoIP telephony functions. Ringover also has CRM integration and, like Megacall, it is possible to record and monitor conversations and manage a completed call with the possibility of tagging calls (similar function in Aircall), and all the main features and functions of a switchboard. There is something worth highlighting about Ringover and that is that within the platform, users can activate the “do not disturb” mode in their IVR (Interactive Voice Response) configuration and it also has the integration of Artificial Intelligence for the analysis and summary of conversations. Now, if there is something that should be mentioned on this platform is that, like Aircall, the support service is still quite poor. Ringover only gives the option to contact them through a request on their website without the option of calling by phone, only by form, making the wait for a response much longer for the customer, there is no option to have a response or solution quickly.
As for prices, Ringover has a 7-day free trial, which allows you to try out only some of its features, without the possibility of getting to know the rest of the tools. To do so, you have to sign up for one of its plans. For example, the Smart plan (the cheapest plan, with which you will not continue to have the option to use all the features, but more than in the free trial) is 21€ per user per month, and includes switchboard, call waiting, call transfers and other more basic features, not including features such as routing, normal or custom call queues, the option to view the dashboard in real time or also being able to intervene in a call, which is very useful if you want to monitor your team. If we want to cover more, with more advanced tools, Ringover has two superior plans of 44€ and 54€ respectively. To this we add the monthly rates which are 5€ plus the activation costs, which can vary between 0 and 25€.
Cloudtalk
Cloudtalk is a VoIP platform that is quite complete, with the same functions mentioned above, call transfers, recordings, voicemail, call labels, etc. Like Ringover, it is also worth highlighting the use of Artificial Intelligence in call analytics, for example, you can get immediate feedback on the customer’s mood during a call and it automatically generates a summary and labels based on the conversation.
To highlight a disadvantage of this system, it is that at first the customization of the platform can seem confusing and sometimes training may be necessary for its use and also that the campaigns are only available in the most expensive plans.
Speaking of prices, Cloudtalk is not positioned as the cheapest. It does have a free trial of only 14 days but does not specify what functions you can use with the trial, only by contacting customer service can you find out more about the free trial. As for the packs, we find one at 25€ per month per user, which includes 500 minutes of calls, call recording, softphone and unlimited calls, and some IVR functions are not included in this plan (business hours, greetings, and commercial music), nor are phone number labels, text messages, routing, caller ID… However, with the Essential and Expert plans you will have access to many more functions that with the cheapest plan, but for 30€ and 50€ respectively. It should be mentioned that to find out about the rates it is necessary to contact them since they don’t indicate them.
Nfon
We are talking about another VoIP telephony platform, designed to offer communication solutions for both companies and users. It has a virtual switchboard with no options that have not been mentioned before, management of calls in queue, routing and forwarding of calls, voicemail, interactive voice response… Something different to mention is that it has two functions: CLIP and CLIR, with the first one you can display the phone number of the person calling on the screen, and with the second one the display of the number is hidden, that is, the number of the incoming call is not shown and the recipient of the call cannot see who is calling. However, its configuration leaves a little to be desired, with an irregular connection and customer support is not all that good either, so a personalized configuration may be a little difficult to get.
Regarding Nfon’s prices, as far as can be seen, it has a free trial but it does not indicate how long or the functions that are included. Likewise, they do not have customized plans, for all this information you would have to contact customer service to find out more in detail. Yes, the call rates are reflected, for example, calls to national landlines with 500 minutes are about 3,90€ per month, calls to national mobiles are 11.90€ and calls to national landlines and mobiles with 1000 minutes are 13,90€ per month.
Which VoIP plan should I choose for my company?
As we have seen throughout this article, all VoIP providers will offer you at least the virtual switchboard service with all its functions, most of them include this, but it is important to know what differentiates each one and that it is at a reasonable price.
It is true that they all offer almost the same functions, with trials of a couple of weeks and without being able to access all the tools with the free version, having to contract a plan to be able to use all its functions. Only one offers a free version of the switchboard with the possibility of being able to use all its functions and that is Megacall, which by only paying 2€ for the number rate you will have access to the virtual switchboard and CRM if you want. And not only that, as we have seen, not all of them offer dedicated customer support and the possibility of personalized configuration for them as Megacall offers. Therefore, it is the best option to try if you really want to jump into VoIP technology or otherwise, you already have VoIP technology and are looking to change providers, without risking making a large investment and with access to all the functions of a virtual switchboard. So, if you are thinking about switching to VoIP or changing providers, give it a try!
